California STD/HIV Prevention Training Center

The STD/HIV Prevention Training Center is offering Supporting Client Disclosure of HIV Status: A Skills-Based Training for Provider, a skills-based training that explores the many issues surrounding client HIV status disclosure and discusses strategies for supporting this in a number of different settings (e.g., EIP, C&T, HIV clinical treatment, etc.). Participants will learn how to apply a five-step process that supports persons with HIV in disclosing their HIV status to others in a variety of relationships. The National Native American AIDS Prevention Center

The mission of the National Native American AIDS Prevention Center (NNAAPC) is to stop the spread of HIV and related diseases among American Indians, Alskan Natives, Native Hawaiians, and to improve the quality of lie for those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. NNAAPC's Prevention with Positives Project is identifying effective HIV-transmission interventions adapted to the needs of Native communities. In addtion, The Health Resources and Services Administration has funded NNAAPC to provide technical assistance to agencies providing and planning to provide HIV prevention services to Native American populations.
